Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails is screening in competition at the 11th Sapporo International Short Film Festival (SSF 2016), to be held in Sapporo, Japan, from October 10 to 16, 2016. This year the festival received 3,548 submissions from 101 countries and territories.

The Sapporo Short Fest was launched in 2006 with the vision of presenting to the public quality films and to share the values created in the films that are made with crafts of screenplay, cinematography and editing for the defined genre of the "short film", not a shortened form of a feature film.
