Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails is Gold Award winner in the Animation category at the International Independent Film Awards, Spring 2016 Session. Winners were announced on June 22, 2016.

The International Independent Film Awards is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the many talented independent filmmakers and artist from around the world who share their visions in a powerful, creative and entertaining way.
