Pigtails is Platinum Remi Award winner at 49th WorldFest Houston 2016

Yoshimi Itazu's directorial debut mid-lenght film Pigtails is Platinum Remi Award winner, Classic Cel Animation Category at the 49th WorldFest Houston, held in Houston, Texas, USA from April 8th to 17th, 2016. The screening in Houston marked the film's international premiere.

WorldFest describes Pigtails as "a haunting and brilliant film, very prophetic for the days to come..."

WorldFest was established in 1968 by award-winning producer/director Hunter Todd to present a quality film festival for the independent filmmakers, and it became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the world, and it gave first honors to Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, the Coen Brothers, Randal Kleiser, Oliver Stone, Ridley Scott, David Lynch and hundreds more with their very first film.
Every year the festival receives over 4500 submissions from more than 70 countries and regions.
