Oblivion Island official screening at the 7th Dubai International Film Festival

December 10, 2010

Shinsuke Sato's CGI animated feature film Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror has been officially invited to the Cinema for Children section of the 7th Dubai International Film Festival, to be held in Dubai, UEA, from December 12 to 19, 2010.
Animation director Naoyoshi Shiotani will attend the screening as guest of honour.
The screening at DIFF marks the movie's Middle East premiere.

"In Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror there's a beautiful message about the value of our memories, told in a story that starts when 16-year-old Haruka spots a fox spirit and follows him to Oblivion Island, a repository of random, strange lost items." (Myrna Maakaron, DIFF Cinema for Children Section Programmer)

Since its first edition in 2004, DIFF has established itself as an important cultural event in Dubai and the UAE, with the purpose of celebrating excellence in cinema, using it as a medium to promote open dialogue between cultures and nations.

Screening schedule:
Date: December 16, 2010 (Thu)
Time: 16:00
Place: First Group Theatre (Souk Madinat)
