Oblivion Island screening at the 6th Traverse City Film Festival

July 16, 2010

Shinsuke Sato's Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror is screening at the 6th Traverse City Film Festival (TCFF 2010), to be held in Traverse City, Michigan, USA, from July 27 to August 1, 2010. The film is in competition for the Best Children's Feature Film Prize and the Audience Award for Best Feature Film.

With 96,000 admissions in 2009, the Traverse City Film Festival has grown to become one of the largest film festivals in the Midwest, and one of the most respected in the USA.
Founded in 2005 by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore, who runs the festival and serves as the President of the Board of Directors, the Traverse City Film Festival is an invitation only film festival committed to showing "Just Great Movies" that both entertain and enlighten the audience, and seek to enrich the human spirit and the art of filmmaking - not the bottom line.
Michael Moore personally programs the festival each year, selecting films that he feels should be seen and celebrated.

"Stunningly rich and imaginative CGI anime [...] Haruka's quest to recover her mirror is filled with excitement, fantasy and friendship in this dazzlingly animated adventure." (from the TCFF official website)
