Miss Hokusai nominated for the 44th Annual Annie Awards

Keiichi Hara's award-winning Miss Hokusai has been nominated Best Animated Feature-Independent at the 44th Annual Annie Awards. The winners will be announced at the award ceremony to be held in Los Angeles, USA on February 4, 2017.
The Annie Awards celebrate accomplishments in animation, and are considered the Academy Awards of the animation industry. The Annie Awards have been presented by the Los Angeles branch of the International Animated Film Association, ASIFA-Hollywood since 1972. The Annie Award for Best Animated Feature was introduced in 1992, and the Best Animated Feature-Independent award was added in 2015 to recognize independent animators and international studios outside of the USA.
Miss Hokusai is the fourth Production I.G feature film that has been nominated for Best Animated Feature, along with Blood: The Last Vampire, Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence and A Letter to Momo.
